Hey, everyone. I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in about a month. My computer crashed from viruses (curses, foiled again) and I’m still recovering from aftershock. For safety purposes, I will not say how this got resolved, but if you ask me in person, I will tell you. Or e-mail. Let’s just say that I’m ecstatic and worried at the same time.
My Inuyasha and kagome pic…uh, well, it was nice knowing it. Maybe I’ll get it up somehow, but it was originally intended for Valentines Day. Darn fanart not getting loaded, mumble grumble murmur. Anyway, I decided to make up for my absence by updating my blog a little bit. You will notice changes in the “about” section and the conversational section, and maybe some more in the future. Stay tuned.
In Al-kun world, there is some stress of school. I got accepted into three honors English classes, so I’m really happy. In one of those classes, we apparently get to send one of our writing to a publisher and see what they say. Those who know me are either nodding their heads and are happy for me, as they ppreciate my style, or are jumping out of their chair, begging me not to let them see my work. My style is just a little creepy, not TOO creepy, but odd. Think a mix of Lewis Carrol, Edgar Allen Poe, J.R.R. Tolkien/Holly Black/Frank Bedder, and you’ve got an odd and creepy fantasy story. Hello, me.
Anyway, My reference in my about page will be anime-related. The character who I can relate to most is Izumi from Fullmetal Alchemist, and if I hear one word of “She is girl and you compare to girl, Ha HA HHAAAAA”, I will virtually pull your eyelashes out *glares at Mike*.
And then there were Ohio Graduation Tests *cries*
It will be a tough week coming up, so bare with me. At least my birthday is this Saturday, so it shouldn’t be so bad. (not today Saturday, next Saturday. Yeesh…)
Have a good week everyone, wish me luck…
~Al
P.S. I just finished the first book in a trilogy called The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor. A spinoff of Alice in Wonderland, and the climax of book one was probably one of the best battle scenes…ever.
“She is [a] girl and you compare [yourself] to [a] girl”? Um, I just compared myself to Alphonse on my blog (see “about” page), so what’s the big deal? If you can identify with the personality and traits of a character, then go for it and screw what everyone else says. So long as you’re not pushing the line (which I really don’t see as a problem with you…), it should be fine. The key is not taking what people say personally and learning to filter out all the non-important input from others. It’s tough; took me almost three years to learn how, but you’ll get it.
Glad to see you’re back!
Oh, and I promise to work on your header sometime in the near future.
Um, no need for corrective editing. I did it on purpose. (Ever see Spiderman 3? That one guy that lives next to him says ‘You say, “I am good man, you are good woman, we belong together.”‘ Inside joke between a few good friends, though I’m not sure if they view anymore…) Jeez, I’m not that much of and idiot…*sulk, sulk*
Ah, don’t pressure yourself. I don’t know if I have the willpower to put it up >..>
<.<
I’m not a person who cares what people think (cantcha tell), I’m just a little worried about who may view the site…like my dad. I REALLY hope he never finds my site…
ACK! OGTS FTL!
OGT Blasted for Failure to Comply with State Fairness Guidelines
(Cincinnati)—This week, Cincinnati multi-platinum recording artist from the band 98 Degrees, former mayoral candidate, and independent media activist Justin Jeffre filed a formal complaint with the Ohio Department of Education, requesting to appeal the work of the state’s “fairness committee” regarding Ohio Graduation Tests…
